Glen HamptonMarch 5, 1957 ~ May 21, 2017 (age 60)
Glen Hampton, of Lyle Washington left this world too soon, on May 21st 2017, in Wood Village, Oregon. He was just 60 years old.
Those that knew Glen will remember him for his amazing intelligence, unique sense of humor, and the compassion he showed to all. His friends and family will always be inspired by his passion for life and his unending curiosity.
Having survived Leukemia many years ago, Glen went on to live a very fulfilling and happy life, never looking back, and making the most of every day. There was no challenge too big for him, from vanquishing cancer to building his dream on the High Prairie in Washington, he didn't know the meaning of impossible. That fearless will to take on any task lives on in his family and friends whom he inspired to live their dreams as well.
In addition to enjoying living his life out in the wide open country he was a true Pisces; he loved being on or near the water with his wife, whether swimming, kayaking or just walking on the beach. The water brought him peace.
Glen was born in Portland, Oregon to Eleanor ("Lucky") Hampton and Floyd Hampton who preceded him in death. He is survived by sisters Gail (Mclure), Debbie (Hampton), Sharon (Thornton) as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved and enjoyed. Glen is also survived by his wife Linda Hampton, who was the love of his life and best friend. He was the step father to Joylyn and Toby, and had 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild that he adored.
Funeral services will be held at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes, 11667 SE Stevens Rd. on June 22nd 2017, at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation so that others may win their battle with cancer as victoriously as Glen did
